favorite day of the year

Today is my favorite day so far in 2006. There has been nothing special other than the *PERFECT* weather. I don't think I've ever had weather so dramatically affect my mood. It is mid 70s, sunny, slightly breezy, and everything is blooming. When I walk out my office buildings door the scent of flowers is surrounds me-it's awesome. If I could bottle that scent I'd wear it every day.

In honor of this fab tastic weather I'm gonna get some cherry blossom action in after we go house hunting tomorrow. I want to take some pics of little fatey in this ridiculously cute dress I bought her at [where else] Costco. Maybe I'll even post some to this blog.

“Tell Walmart Palm Oil Kills Orangutans”

I received the following action alert from my sister's former employer. They do lots of good work on food and nuitrion issues, but I must say, the title of their alert is hilarious and tends to make me not take the issue seriously. That said, this is one of the reason's I love DC. People are so passionate about such a variety of campaigns, including palm oil killing orangutans.

Gonna go see the cherry blossoms this weekend. Maybe I'll get it together and post some pics on this ole' blog.

How does one become an International librarian?

Is there such a thing? Maybe go work at a private school for diplomat's kids? My newest dream job... Only 4 1/2 more years to go before I get the degree. I'm debating whether or not I should try to take two classes per semester to speed things up. Probably not. Too much work. I always figured as a kid that I would magically end up being independantly wealthy. It's funny now. I used to day dream for hours about how I would have a huge house with like 12 kids and some unknown fabulous job.

Life is one big reality check.

75 degrees

It's supposed to be 75 degrees tomorrow. Crazy. I like my winter clothes much better than spring. I feel pasty when I have to reveal flesh the color of my bath tub. Fake tan maybe? spray on?
