Wierd Month

Well, 2005 is ending. I like years that end in a solid number like 5. It's not quite like a decade has ended, but its got that good partition. What a wierd month. Grand jury duty kicked off an on Dec. 7th, and that's certainly contributed to my inactivity on this blog. Indicting people is depressing. I think my civic duty kinda dampened my holiday spirit--how excited can you get about a season of caring and giving when you are immersed in the nastier elements of human behavior all day? I got home from the holidays with the inlaws. It was nice. Very midwestern. Lots of meat and potatoes, cookie platters, and wierd regional St. Louis food like pizza that tastes like cardboard with velveeta cheese on top. But I enjoyed myself despite a nasty headcold for three days I was there.

Predictions for 2006--we will buy a house!!
